Visit The Official Website Of UIDAI
First of all go to the official website of UIDAI, resident.uidai.gov.in. Then scroll down to the ‘Aadhaar Services’ section. In this section, click on ‘Recover Lost or Forgotten EID/UID’ tab. Then you will be redirected to a new page. There click on the option ‘Aadhaar Number (UID)’.
OTP will be Generated
Enter your personal details after you are redirected to the new page. This includes your name, registered mobile number or email address, etc. Then enter the captcha and click on ‘Send OTP’ option on the page. You will get a 6 digit OTP on your registered mobile number, which you will have to enter in the space provided.

You also have another option. In case your Aadhaar is lost, the e-copy of Aadhaar card can be downloaded through the UIDAI portal. You select the ‘Get Aadhaar’ option on the online portal. Then after paying a fixed charge, you will get the digital Aadhar card on your email. If your number is not linked with UIDAI and Aadhar card then you have to visit Aadhar center. There one has to fill the required application form and get your Aadhaar number manually. As per the information available on the UIDAI website, e-Aadhaar can be used as a physical copy of Aadhaar for all purposes as per the Aadhaar Act. E-Aadhaar can be accessed digitally at uidai.gov.in or eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in link. E-Aadhaar is a password protected electronic copy of Aadhaar, which is digitally signed by the competent authority of UIDAI.
