Republic Day Speech

As we all know, the Indian Constitution came into force on 26 January 1950 and since then we all celebrate this day as Republic Day. When our country got independence from the British rule on 15 August 1947, India did not have its own constitution, but later after much discussion, a committee was formed under the leadership of Dr. BR Ambedkar and the Indian Constitution was drafted. Draft prepared. This draft of the Indian Constitution was presented to the Legislative Council and adopted on 26 November 1949, but came into effect on 26 January 1950.

Today we all have gathered here to celebrate this special day, which gives us courage and inspiration to move forward as a strong nation. This day reminds us of the establishment of the Republic of India. On this day we also remember those great men who played an important role in getting independence for India and implementing the Indian Constitution. It is because of them that India is today called a republic. Our great Indian leaders and freedom fighters Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Lala Lajpat Rai, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Lal Bahadur Shastri etc. sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country.

This year we are celebrating 73rd Republic Day. Republic means the supreme power of the people living in the country and only the people have the right to elect their representatives as political leaders to take the country in the right direction. It is because of the powers of the Indian Constitution that we can choose the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and other leaders of our choice in the country. Our great Indian freedom fighters have struggled for more than 200 years for “Complete Swaraj” in India. They did this so that their future generations would not remain slaves to anyone and could exercise their rights freely.

We all have to pledge that we will also have to fulfill our duties and create a better future for the coming generations. Will make India a strong nation. Together we will build a strong India. Will make all citizens aware of the Constitution and provide everyone an opportunity to live equally. We should be aware of our social issues like poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, global warming, inequality etc. so that they can be solved to move forward. Thank you

Jai Hind! Victory to India…

happy republic day

From which you have pride and glory,

always keep your head held high

You are the desire of the border, you are the heart of Delhi,

And you are the name of India

Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram

Come let’s bow down and salute them,

To whom this position comes.

That blood is lucky,

Which is useful for the country.

Best wishes for Republic Day.

Let us remember that stream of blood of patriots today.
